I experienced postpartum depression for two years after giving birth to my second child, my son, in 2019. But I didn’t even know it because I didn’t start exhibiting postpartum depression symptoms until about 12 months after giving birth in 2020. Cannabis was about the only thing that kept me functioning but it was also the thing that made it hard for me to recognize I was depressed.

It’s been a wild revelation for me and I talk about it with y’all on this episode. I get into how my depression impacted my life, work and family. I lost all desire to do the things I loved, I was having trouble taking care of myself (and my apartment), and I had gained a lot of weight (about 30 lbs). Still, I wasn’t able to clearly see that I was not myself.

Honestly, being so vulnerable with y’all on the podcast was scary. I shared some personal things about my life on this episode, and I really hope my story can serve as a testimony to help someone else who may be going through something similar.
