Spoiler alert: She says Naija weed is trash 😂. While the weed quality isn’t up to par per American standards, she says she still enjoys it from time to time with her husband.

After living in various cities across the U.S., Ngozi Anorue recently moved to Lagos, Nigeria. The CEO of Hiihat, which is a trusted search engine that makes it easy to find Black-owned brands/products, said that living in Lagos as an entrepreneur has been an adjustment.

She dived into what spurned the creation of her search engine Hiihat, saying she wanted people to shop Black-owned businesses, brands and products with ease. She wanted to remove the hassle of trying to find Black businesses via often fustrating Google searches that usually don’t yield the results you seek when you attempt to search for Black businesses. With Hiihat, Ngozi has made it as simple as searching ”bra,” to get instant hits showing all the Black-owned brands that sell bras.

On this episode, we chat about:

  • What’s the weed is really like in Nigeria?
  • The importance of Hiihat being able to connect us with Black owned businesses quickly
  • Shonitria shares about her trip to Lagos, Nigeria, in December 2021

You don’t want to miss this episode and check out Hiihat next time you want to buy Black :).
