Blunt Blowin’ Mama connects with Kristin Murr-Sloat, owner and co-founder of AlpinStash. The Colorado-based grow-op is where she cultivates and sells craft cannabis with her husband. Join us as we chat about how Murr and her husband Danny, who she calls her best friend, manage a cannabis business together and parent their young child. Murr also gives us some insight into how her business operates, and what they’ve been doing to keep the business running during the pandemic.
She also shares her personal story with cannabis and what she wishes she did differently to treat her sickness and postpartum depression. Murr admits that she regrets not smoking weed while pregnant. Unfortunately, she was just too afraid to smoke weed while pregnant because she didn’t have access to information or feel support within the cannabis community to consume.
As always, we don’t leave the social equity aspect of weed out of the conversation. Murr explains what her business has been doing to support prison reform and the steps AlpinStash is taking to support equity in cannabis.
