Note: This episode was recorded Live on Instagram on Nov. 5, 2020.

Blunt Blowin’ Mama wants to talk about the election, whiteness, Blackness, and all that other messy shit this election has stirred up. It’s time to talk about it all and stop sweeping shit under the rug. Also, I’m not judging anyone for any choice they may have made during the 2020 election. It’s all coming from love and I am willing to chat with anyone no matter how different their views may be from my own. I’m open :).

After having so many meaningful conversations online with you guys I knew I had to bring this post-election talk to the podcast. Honestly, I was a bit nervous to talk so openly and freely about how this election has made me feel as a Black mama in America. Because life has taught me that usually when a Black person speaks openly about the white identity or wants to address race issues that we’re often met with opposition and hurt egos instead of open hearts and minds. It no longer serves me to sugarcoat things when it comes to life in my Black skin in America. I am not afraid. So, this bonus episode felt not only timely but appropriate. All opinions expressed are my own.

P.S. I’m not judging you. But when it comes to talking about race in America I get fired up. Much love ;).
